Goyant Private Limited (“Goyant”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) operates a digital platform that connects local businesses such as moto rental and taxi service providers with end users through the Goyant Business App.

This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and how we protect it when you use the Goyant Business App. By installing and using the app, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

1.1 Business Information

When you register as a moto rental or cab service provider, we collect:

Business Name
Business Mobile Number
Email Address (if provided)
Business Shop Address
Government-issued ID (optional, for verification purposes)

1.2 Vehicle Information

To list your vehicles on the platform, we collect:

Vehicle type and details (bike / scooter / car)
Registration Certificate (RC)(optional)
Insurance documents (optional)
Permit documents (optional)

1.3 Location Information

The Goyant Business App collects and uses location data as described below:

What we collect:

Real-time device location (GPS / network-based)
Renter’s location data (for cab service providers)
Business/shop address location (for listing on the platform map)

Why we collect it:

To display your business on the Goyant platform map end users can discover your business.
To enable real-time vehicle tracking dur active for cab bookings.
To calculate estimated distances and travel times for bookings.
To enhance services between you and end-users.

How it is collected:

Location is collected only while the app is in active use (foreground), unless you explicitly enable background location for cab tracking
Location is collected only after you grant the location permission on your device
You can revoke location permission at any time via your device Settings.

Who can see it:

Your business location (shop address) is visible to customers searching on Goyant
Live vehicle location during active bookings may be visible to the customer who has booked your service
Location data is not sold to third parties

1.4 Service Interaction Data

We collect data about your activity on the platform:

Booking requests received and responses sent
Rental history and extended/completed bookings
Customer interaction logs

2. Permissions We Request and Why

The Goyant Business App requests the following device permissions:

Location (Precise / Approximate) — To show your business on the map and enable cab/vehicle tracking during active bookings. Required for core platform features.
Camera — To let you photograph and upload vehicle documents (RC, insurance) and your business profile photo.
Storage / Files — To allow you to select existing photos and documents from your device for upload.
Notifications — To send you real-time booking alerts, customer messages, and platform updates.

You may deny any of the above permissions. However, denying Location permission will limit your visibility on the platform map and disable cab tracking features.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

Create and manage your business account on Goyant
Verify your identity and uploaded documents
Display your business and vehicles to customers searching on the platform
Enable and manage rental and cab bookings
Provide customer support and resolve disputes
Send notifications about bookings and platform updates
Detect and prevent fraud or misuse
Improve platform performance and user experience

We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Sharing of Information

4.1 With end-users

When a end-user views your listing or makes a booking, we may share:

Your business name
Contact number
Business address
Vehicle details relevant to the booking

4.2 With Third-Party Service Providers

We may share data with trusted service providers who help operate the platform:

Cloud storage providers (e.g., AWS S3,Backblaze)— for secure document and photo storage.
Analytics providers — for platform performance monitoring

All third-party providers are contractually required to handle your data securely and only for the stated purposes.

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your data if required by applicable law, court order, or government authority, or to prevent fraud or protect the rights of Goyant or its users.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as required for legal and business compliance purposes. When your account is deleted, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Account Deletion

You can request account deletion at any time from within the app. Upon deletion:

Your profile, listings, and personal data will be removed from the platform
Certain data (e.g., transaction logs) may be retained as required by applicable law

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
Secure cloud storage with access controls
Regular security reviews

While we take reasonable precautions, no system is 100% secure. Please keep your account credentials confidential.

8. Your Rights

As a user of our platform, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
Withdraw consent for location tracking at any time via device Settings

9. Children’s Privacy

The Goyant Business App is intended for age group above 16 years operating businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 16.

10. Third-Party Services

The app may use third-party services such as mapping tools (e.g., Google Maps) and verification APIs. These services have their own privacy policies which we encourage you to review.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top and notify you via the app or email where required. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
